Growing up I found people to be incredibly confusing. I did not understand why they made specific choices or reacted in certain ways. So, while I was fascinated by that which I did not comprehend, I was frustrated that I lacked a seemingly fundamental element to appropriately engaging with those around me. However, I decided that this inability to decipher the codes of human interactions could be solved at none other than the library, and it was there that I discovered the secret to my fascination with social engagements.
After a myriad of hours pouring over books on behavioral sciences, I learned that people function by way of patterns, and each pattern is based off of layers of genetic coding and life experience. Both of these combined create intricate dimensions within each person's psyche. So, it is through learning behavioral patterns coupled with people's personalities that I was finally able to obtain the human interactions that I was seeking. No longer was I in the dark about vocal intonations and nonverbal cues.
This discovery entirely changed what I thought was possible with regards to learning about why people act the way that they do, and so my work gives shape to these planes of the psyche. Each portal reflects a map of a mental universe. Whether it be an individual's existence or a group's existence each composition is filled with layered dimensions, all with their own mysteries to be solved and beauty to be discovered.
